Apple AirPods 2 review: popular new generation headphones

Despite the addition of useful new features such as wireless charging of the case and faster connection, the new Apple AirPods 2 are hardly a significant improvement on the previous version. It’s a great choice for your first wireless earbuds, but it’s definitely not worth buying if you already have a working original AirPods.

Apple AirPods 2 Overview

The whole world was waiting for Apple to release AirPods 2, brand new AirPods that were supposed to be waterproof and noise-isolating. Instead, Apple simply updated the first version of their wireless earbuds with the H1 chip and wireless charging capability for the case.

While this was a disappointment to many, Apple said the H1 processor improves call quality and battery life. In addition, now there is a function to launch the Hey Siri voice assistant without the help of hands. The ability to charge the case wirelessly means you can put it on a Qi-compatible mat without having to plug the cable into the Lightning connector on the bottom every time.
