It’s time for design: a paired review of Prestigio MultiPhone PAP5450 Duo and MultiPhone PAP5500 Duo
As with low-cost tablets, the number of low-cost smartphones is increasing by the day, if not by the hour. But they all have one problem, and it’s not something related to the hardware characteristics of these devices. This is the appearance – mostly state employees look like boring bricks or remnants of black, gray, at best white. Therefore, it is worth paying tribute to Prestigio, which presented 2 smartphones with very interesting appearance and color solutions – MultiPhone PAP5450 Duo and PAP5500 Duo, which differ only in screen size – 4.5 and 5 inches, respectively. Although the design is fine, the question is: can they offer something more than just a beautiful case?

Traditionally for Prestigo, the box contains very well-printed instructions, a warranty card and a quick start guide, as well as a simple USB cable and charger. But the headset is far from simple – not only does it have a newfangled flat cable and excellent build quality, but also the sound quality is very good.
On this, it would seem, the story about the configuration of smartphones for $ 200 could be completed, but that was not the case. The guys at Prestigio put a total of four extra rear covers in the box. The cover colors are the same for both smartphones – blue, red, black, lemon and yellow. Yes, it’s great, but 2 yellow options? A white or light gray lid would be a much better option.
Design and construction
Both devices are, I’m not afraid of this word, the most beautiful inexpensive smartphones I’ve seen. A variety of colors, straight lines and sharp corners give the impression of a device with a class much higher than it actually is. Every time I took my smartphone out of my pocket, I immediately felt the eyes of passers-by, and at the university people constantly asked me what kind of phone it was. And they were very surprised when they found out that this is Prestigio with a very affordable price tag.
The ergonomics of the devices do not lag behind the design. They lie equally well in the hand, and all connectors and buttons are in place. Accordingly, there is a volume rocker on the left, a power / lock button on the right, and a microUSB connector and a 3.5 mm minijack are located on the upper edge.

They are made of a very pleasant to the touch matte plastic, reminiscent of that on Nokia smartphones.
